Privacy notice

Last updated: 24 September 2026

This notice explains what personal data we collect through the Cynea Impact website, why, and what your rights are under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). We’ve kept it short and in plain English.

Who we are

Cynea Impact is a programme of Cynea AI Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (No. 16652188), registered office London, United Kingdom. Cynea AI Ltd is the controller of the personal data described here. You can contact us about privacy at support@cynea.ai.

What we collect

This website has no accounts, no sign-up and no payment forms.

  • When you email us (including through the contact form, which opens your own email app and sends nothing from this site), we receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to write.
  • When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

We don’t use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers on this site.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry.
  • To arrange and manage a sponsorship if you decide to sponsor a learner.
  • To keep the records we’re legally required to keep.

Our lawful basis

  • Legitimate interests: replying to people who contact us, and running and securing the website.
  • Contract: arranging a sponsorship you’ve asked us to set up.
  • Legal obligation: keeping financial and company records.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: deleted when we no longer need them, and no later than 24 months after our last contact with you.
  • Sponsorship and financial records: 6 years, as UK law requires for company records.
  • Hosting logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period, then deleted.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your data or share it for marketing. The only people who see it are:

  • Service providers who handle it on our behalf and under contract: our website host and our email provider.
  • Authorities, if the law requires us to.

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to give you a copy in a portable format. Email support@cynea.ai and we’ll reply within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change this notice, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
